Two months earlier, she received a Final Notice of Intent to Levy. She meant to handle it. Then work got busy.
Most people think the IRS moves slowly.

When a bank receives an IRS levy, it normally freezes the funds available in the account at that date and time.
Federal law generally provides a 21-day holding period before the bank sends the frozen money to the IRS.
That window does not guarantee a release.
It creates time to investigate the levy, document the facts, establish any immediate hardship, and act.
